Q:  Do your windows qualify for the tax credit?
A:   Yes!  In most cases the customer will not need a significantly enhanced item to meet the requirements for tax credits and Energy Trust requirements.  We make sure and order the windows you will need for the tax credit as we agree on.

Q:  Are you certified?
A:  Yes:

  • Certified Remodeling Specialist (CRS) as designated through the National Association of Remodeling Industry(NARI)/ Oregon Remodelers Association (ORA)
  • EPA certified in lead safe work practices
  • Energy Trust Trade Ally
  • Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified as a building analyst professional and envelope professional
  • Better Business Bureau (BBB) member since 1998
  • Gresham Chamber of Commerce

Q:  What should I look for in a window?
A:  A reputable manufacturer, solid warranty, quality control, options/types available, and features.

Q:  What should I look for in siding?
A:  Materials available, solid warranty, reputable manufacturer.

Q:  How soon can you start work?
A:  Usually 2-4 weeks for a siding or door job, and 3-4 weeks for a vinyl window job.

Q:  How long have you been in business?
A:  Over 16 years. Since 1994, under the same license number.

Q:  What do I/we have to do before you arrive to start work?
A:  WINDOWS- move delicate or expensive items from in front of windows and doors.  We can help take care of blinds and/or curtains as long as there is somewhere to store them while we work.  SIDING- Move all hanging items from outside walls.  ALL JOBS- arrange a place for your pets (we can help move them from one safe place in home to another), let us know if there is/is not a designated restroom our crew can use.

Q:  Do you have insurance?
A:  Yes. We have more insurance than is required by the State of Oregon for our license.

Q:  Do your employees have workers compensation insurance?
A:  Yes. All of our employees are covered.

Q:  Do you use subcontractors?
A:  Rarely. For example, about 98% of our work is/has been done by our employees for the last two years.

Q:  How do I clean my new windows?
A:  Mild dish soap and water are the best way to clean your windows.  Never use petroleum based cleaners, caustic chemicals, razor blades, putty knives, or high pressure water hoses.

Q:  What colors do your windows come in?
A:  VINYL- white or tan, and factory paintable options are available for the exterior only.  FIBERGLASS- white, and 5-6 exterior colors available.  WOOD- natural or primed, white, and 5-6 exterior colors available.

Q:  What colors are available for siding?
A:  VINYL- usually 12-20 colors available.  FIBERCEMENT- primed or factory finished, 12-15 colors available.  WOOD- natural or primed.

Q:  What type of window and door trim (exterior) do you use?
A:  Flat white wood or cedar primed or stain grade.  Brickmold, shakemold, or custom applications.
